He came to my house, called the utility for me, and found out that when I switched the bill to my name I lost my care discount. He got me reenrolled in care again but didn't stop there. He then found 2 payment assistance programs that I might be eligible for to help me pay my past due amount of $4000... He waited on hold, took notes, and gave me action steps so I can continue to pursue the assistance program. I am a senior and could not do this on my own. He said we can look at solar after the dust settles but we may not need it. This is the type of care I would expect from a family member, not a stranger. I just want to follow up on a review regarding Palomar solar and roofing. This company has been very proactive in monitoring the solar panel system that they installed just about 10 years ago. I know most people are skeptical about whether or not it will be covered years into the contract or payments. Will they honor their word when it comes time to do a repair and in a timely manner? I will have to say yes. 100% satisfied with Palomar solar. I don't think that you can go wrong with this company. Even if you have a few hiccups along the way during the install or something like that, they will make it right. So I don't usually do reviews to promote people. But like I said, 10 years later my solar panel systems still in service and they've come out to my place at least three times to replace a module gateway. And just recently I had a micro inverter fail and they are going to be replacing that micro inverter and also they do provide tech support for gateway communications when they fail. So I know when we all start off with solar panels we're very much into it and we watched the production and how much we're trying to save and then sooner or later we stopped looking but Palomar solar has not stopped looking. They notified me back in April 1st that I had non-communications and just yesterday they reported that I have a inverter, a micro inverter that was not working properly and will be sending a check out to replace it. Although Palomar wasn't the cheapest, Bryce was outstanding to work with and was with us every step of the process. The solar install was very professional. They even painted all the tracks to blend in with my roof. My panels look like they are literally floating on my roof. I made sure to shop around and do my homework. I wanted the roof done on the original house not the 10yr addition, but solars on both sides. They definitely gave us the best price. Be careful because there are some companies that extremely overcharge. I made sure to shop around and do my homework. I wanted the roof done on the original house not the 10yr addition, but solars on both sides. They definitely gave us the best price. Be careful because there are some companies that extremely overcharge. As soon as we finalized the paperwork they began working, but one day we got home to see they removed the roof on a section of the addition. We were so scared they were going to up the price or scam us somehow. They actually apologized and said they would be replacing the roof on all the house at no extra charge. We were in shock, no renegotiating no nothing, we couldn’t believe it. The next thing that happened was that while they were working on the solar, the city inspectors came and realized the roof was also replaced and not inspected and the plywood used was not up to code. I thought oh no here it comes we are going to get a huge bill or they are going to leave our roof half way done and tell us a story that it is not worth it to them. To our surprise, they said they thought we were under the umbrella of the neighboring city since we were at the border of both, so they were going by those guidelines. They said they would take the hit as a learning experience and moved forward. WHAT?? I was in SHOCK NOBODY DOES HONEST BUSINESS LIKE THIS, but PALOMAR does. Less

Adam R. admits the job was not done to their normal standards and the flashing trim is one of the worst he has ever seen. I have attempted to work with the company in finding a realistic and fair solution, but instead they continue to push me through a revolving door to nowhere. Palomar solar set up my panels and they are working great. They took care of us from start to finish. Good price and very happy with the results.

They could have told me, "Look at these savings and don't worry about potential leaks" or "No it's easy to transfer a lease when you sell your house." TL;DR: I love my solar. Experience with Palomar was outstanding. Adam, office staff, and crew were excellent. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Don’t entertain those door-to-door guys; call Palomar. I'm not exaggerating when I say that everything about this experience was positive. From my first call to Palomar to the support after installation, the whole Palomar team has been attentive, courteous, informative, fun, competent, and patient. Adam was exceptional. Shortly after our first meeting, he sent me two proposals. He quickly responded to my numerous calls and emails over the next several months of me mulling over my options and concerns. His knowledge, professionalism, optimism, and attentiveness sold me on both solar and Palomar. (Before finding Palomar, I had spoken with three other companies. The interactions were so disappointing that I had almost given up on the idea.) Adam instilled confidence. Palomar quickly got my project going, and before long, the crew was at my house ready to install. The installation team was amazing. I’ve worked with countless contractors/teams over the years, and yet I have never seen a team like this. They were happy, smiling, and fun while being extremely competent and efficient. They knocked out 26 panels, all the conduit and the service panel, and all the touch-up paint in one day despite a late start due to rain. After they were done, my nit-picky brain noticed a couple aesthetic issues. Even though it was 4pm and they were packed up to leave, they didn’t hesitate to listen to my concerns and identify a fix. They quickly worked together to remedy the situation, and they did it with positive attitudes and the upmost concern for my happiness. Absolutely the best crew I’ve ever seen. Energizing the system took less time than I was quoted, and it went off without a hitch. Palomar has an excellent reputation with inspectors, so approval was quick. I’ve had the system for two months now. The panels look nice on my roof thanks to the design and quality of the panels, and the perfect workmanship of the installers. My system rocks. I went big and I’m glad I did. I can use as much energy as I want without worrying about a bill. No more $450 SDGE bills; instead, they’re negative. Don’t entertain those door-to-door guys, call Palomar. Palomar is everything that you could hope for and more. I couldn’t be happier. As an aside, and my response to frequently negative reviewers, if you want a positive experience with a company, be a positive consumer. Sometimes things go sideways no matter the effort and attitude, but more often, an optimistic attitude will go a long way. If you are reasonable with your expectations, and you give businesses a chance to address your concerns, you’ll find yourself writing a lot of positive reviews. Less
